Nearly 30 Cameroonian companies have already confirmed their participation in Cameroon-USA economic forum scheduled for 31st July, 2014 in Washington DC.

According to a statement from the ministry of economy, planning and town and country planning, until at least 3rd August 2014, these companies will stay in America where they will also participate in a roundtable on investment in Africa.

This participation is expected to allow Cameroonian companies to promote made in Cameroon products and also enjoy AGOA which is a U.S. law that provides preferential trade with African countries.

For a better organization of Cameroon’s participation in these two events, the government is multiplying initiatives to encourage many domestic companies to participate in the forum.

Economic forum Cameroon-USA is scheduled to be held days before US-Africa summit which will bring together a host of African leaders to dialogue on trade related issues with President Barack Obama.
