According to the national cocoa and coffee Board (NCCB), a quantity of 6,666 tonnes of Cameroonian cocoa was exported in the month of August 2014, corresponding to the first month of the new 2014- 2015 cocoa campaign.

According to the same source, this volume of exports is up at more than 500 tonnes over the same period the previous year.

We also noted that these inaugural exports exceed stocks left in stores during the last campaign, which were assessed at approximately 5000 tonnes per the NCCB.

As a reminder, the last cocoa campaign in Cameroon ended with the production of 206,550 tonnes, a decrease of about 9% from the year 2012-2013.

On September 30, the Cameroonian Government officially adopted a revitalization plan for the cocoa-coffee chains. With a budget of 600 million Cfa francs, the plan aims to reach production of 600,000 tonnes of cocoa in 2020.
