6000 young entrepreneurs to receive training in business

Nationwide wide campaign to train 6000 micro entrepreneurs has been launched in Yaoundé.

The training organized by the Youth Employment service, YES Cameroon consist of series of three day training sessions within a period of two weeks within each of the 48 divisions.

According to the Executive Director of YES Cameroon, Gilbert Ewehmeh said the 80% of small business holders who do not have access to credit and financial support.

The beneficiaries who are essentially in the informer sector will be trained on the techniques of drawing, funding opportunities and how to triple investment capital.

The training that will also cover management and leadership is prompted by a finding carried out by the NGO which showed that some micro entrepreneurs don’t have savings accounts for lack for sufficient knowledge in business management.

The different facets of the training were presented to the press during a launching ceremony that marked the kick off of the session. One the after the launching, forty master trainers underwent an initiation training.

The organizers indicated that at the end of the training, a Business Angel Fund of 50 million CFA francs will be mobilized to support ten projects in each region.
