Arborescence Capital fund to build a solar plant in Ngaoundere

This is one of the major announcements at the end of a business visit that the EMA Foundation had driven in Cameroon, as part of the monitoring of EMA Invest Forum held in Geneva in October 2013, with Cameroon as the host.

The investment fund Arborescence Capital will bring up their project to build a solar power plant in Cameroon, with the forthcoming signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with the Government of Cameroon.

This solar power plant will be built in the town of Ngaoundere, one of the three northern regions of Cameroon.

A wise choice according to the electricity regulating agency sector (Arsel), because the northern parts of the country are the most insolated.

Indeed, from the analysis of the electricity regulator, the average insolation for the whole country is 4.9 kWh / m 2 / day and that of the northern part of Cameroon is 5.8 kWh / m 2 / day, and 4 kWh / m 2 / day only for the southern part.
