Billionaire Samuel Foyou, to enter cosmetics industry

On 25 August 2014, Samuel Foyou, filed with a notary in the city of Douala, First Industry Cosmetics (Fico Industry), a company of which he himself chairs the board administration, which is to "manufacture and distribute cosmetic products, import-export, trading and representation of brands."

The new leader of business in Cameroon prepares its arrival on the competitive cosmetics market, including massive imports of products from Nigeria, the United States and Spain via Equatorial Guinea.

On July 10, the Cameroonian industry man created a brewing company (BRASAF) with a capital of 100 million CFA francs, heralding competition for Brasseries du Cameroon, Guinness Cameroon and the Cameroon Union breweries (UCB), the three companies which so far share the beer market in the country.

Majority shareholder of the Cameroon fermentation Society (FERMENCAM), distillery acquired in 2006 by billionaire Victor Fotso, Samuel Foyou recently announced that he has requested from the government, an area of 2000 hectares to plant fruit trees to produce natural juices for exportation.

Foyou Samuel, who made his fortune through business in Congo and Angola, also owns UNALOR, a matches production company also repurchased from the Fotso group in 2009, Plasticam, Sotrasel (kitchen salt production), Biscuit Samuel Foyou (BSF), and Moore Paragon printing.

This 56 year old Cameroonian trader, is currently building in the center of Douala, the first 5-star Chrystal luxury hotel chain newly created by him.
