The budget revenue of Cameroon has risen to a sum of 1716,4 billion francs CFA in the first half of 2014, against 1430 billion francs CFA over the same period last year; a rise of 20%, indicated by an official statement on the implementation of the budget of the State as just published by the ministry of Finances.

These performances, specifies the governmental official statement, are carried out in a morose international context, marked mainly by the fall of the world levels of the principal products of export of Cameroon, in particular rubber, Brent, the robusta and arabica coffees, as well as palm oil; situation which led to a "accentuated deterioration of the terms of trade of the economy".

But in spite of this international economic situation marked by a "growth weaker than envisaged, the contagion of the insecurity at the borders, the psychosis born from the Ebola disease which prevails in certain countries of West Africa, the inflationary shock because of the fall of the subsidy to petroleum products", Cameroon, underlined the official statement, slightly revised with the rise its forecasts of growth of GDP in 2014, making them move from 5.6 to 5.8%.
