CEMAC Commission seminar begins

The Central African Economic and Monetary Community (CEMAC) Commission has organised a seminar in Yaounde on the theme “Multilateral Surveillance in the CEMAC zone: Experiences and Perspectives”.

During the seminar which begins this 21st July 2015, participants will be reviewing the budgetary performance and mechanisms of multilateral surveillance in the CEMAC zone.

The Minister of Finance, Alamine Ousmane Mey while chairing the opening ceremony called on participants to propose ways through which multilateral surveillance could be made more effective and coherent in the CEMAC zone.

The seminar is being chaired by the President of the CEMAC Commission, Pierre Moussa and other Cameroonian authorities.

It is worth mentioning that Multilateral surveillance is a mechanism of control to ensure coherence in economic and budgetary policies of CEMAC member states.
