CEMAC Summit: Yaounde braces up for the event

This 22nd December, the roads leading to the meeting grounds have been decorated with the flags of the six CEMAC countries: Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Gabon, Congo and Equatorial Guinea.

Banners announcing the event and highlighting the importance of sub regional integration within the CEMAC zone were very visible along main junctions.

In the meantime, not much has been said about the agenda of the summit but speculations are rife that the financial situation of the CEMAC zone is what provoked the extraordinary summit.

At press time, the Head of State of the Central Africa Republic was already in Yaounde.

He arrived at midday this 22nd December 2016 and was received at the Nsimalen International Airport by the Prime Minister, Head of Government, Philemon Yang.
