The sixth edition of the Cameroon Business Forum has taken place in Doaula under the theme, “Sustain growth through the effective putting in place of reforms.”

Prime Minister, Head of Government Philemon Yang chaired the session which took place this Monday 9th March 2015.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister emphasised government’s commitment to remove every obstacle to Cameroon’s business development and emergence.

Participants evaluated the progress made in Cameroon’s business climate. The evaluation revealed that Cameroon’s financial market is functioning below its potentials.

With the stakes therein, members at the forum saw an urgent need to clear the business landscape of the existing barriers and chart a new path.

Though only about 50 per cent of last year’s recommendations have been implemented, participants did promise to continue working hard to ease business operations in Cameroon.

The session was attended by business stakeholders from both the public and private sectors, including 12 government ministers.
