Cameroon collects 153 billion Fcfa for 2014 bond

At the press conference yesterday in Yaoundé, Minister of Finance reiterated the commitment of the authorities to put such funds to good use.

The 150 billion originally expected by the State of Cameroon under the 2014bond, 153 billion has finally been received.

The announcement was made by the Minister of finance Alamine Ousmane Mey during a press conference Friday, December 26, 2014 at the Hilton Hotel in Yaounde in the presence of his counterpart Issa Tchiroma Bakary.

He also indicated that banks and financial institutions in our country alone mobilized the tidy sum of 100 billion CFA FRANCS, the balance of the amount, 53 billion CFA francs, having been convened by other subscribers.

In a previous press conference held at the same hotel in the capital, on Tuesday, December 16, Alamine Ousmane Mey had in detail, given lighting on the intended use of 150 billion sought by the State of Cameroon.

The subscription of the 2014bond period ranged from 24 November to 23 December 2014. The SCB Cameroon served as arranger in the State of Cameroon in this transaction.
