Senegalese Head of State, Macky Sall, had a meeting with the Cameroonian deputy minister of Foreign Relations in charge of the Cooperation with the Islamic world, Adoum Gargoum.
The meeting was held on December 7, alongside the International Dakar Fair (Fidak 2015), which is taking place until December 20
The news was reported by the government daily, Cameroon Tribune.
“Cameroon for us is a friendly country, a very important country on the continent. It has an important economic potential. It is a country which warrants our attention and we are ready to deepen our exchanges”, President Macky Sall declared, by asking Adoum Gargoum to express the gratitude of the Senegalese people to Cameroonian Head of State, for accepting that Cameroon be made the guest of honour of the 24th edition of Fidak.
During this economic rendezvous in which Cameroon is participating with 56 exhibitors (out of approximately 500 exhibitors from 35 countries), the country is showcasing its products.
These are, among others, locally roasted coffee, tea, Penja pepper and white Oku honey, two products recently labelled by the African Organisation of Intellectual Property, Oapi.
All these products were offered as gifts to the Senegalese Head of State. “The packaging is really good. Some of them could be sold here in Senegal”, Macky Sall declared, while receiving the packages prepared by the Cameroonian delegation.
