Cameroon set for online service platforms

The Cameroonian Ministry of posts and Telecommunications (Minpostel) recently launched a call for expressions of interest, for the recruitment of a claimant before the study, with a view towards the implementation of "online" service platforms within the framework of the e-post project.

Minpostel explained that the e-post project, which was to scan and interconnect the 234 post offices of the country, has set up a datacenter "predisposed to host platforms of e-commerce, e-banking, e-money, e-health, e-education and e-Government.

"A good operation of this predisposition could allow Cameroon to make a decisive step towards the inclusive, ongoing information society building", revealed Jean-Pierre Biyiti bi Essam.

Also, the Government of Cameroon invited firms specialized in the field of ICT, and interested in this service, financed from the Telecommunication Development Fund, to send their offers to the projects, studies and foresight of Minpostel Division, no later than October 31, 2014.
