The firm Addax Petrolum Cameroon Company LLC, an affiliate of the China-based oil-gas giant Sinopec has announced the increase by 40 per cent of its production since it bought 80 per cent of the shares of Pecten Cameroon Company LCC.
The firm pointed out the fact that it has implemented an active drilling campaign to increase the productive capacity of the Mokoko Abana oil field from 15,000 barrels per day to 18, 500 barrels a day.
Addax Petroleum has furthermore harnessed oil in fields that have reached their maturity, but whose production had dropped drastically in recent years including Mokoko Abana field.
In a bid to boost the 30-year-old field, Addax has used ground-breaking production methods enabling it to reduce its operational costs while increasing the output with adapted solutions, the company declares.
