Cameroon wants to learn from the Brazilian experience to develop its agriculture,as discussed during the participation of Brazilian experts at a forum on agriculture, livestock and fisheries as a means to youth entrepreneurship.

Brazil which features among the 10 economies of the world and is on the list of the largest producers of the world for ten products, owes its large part of its current development to agriculture.

According to the Ambassador of Brazil in Yaounde, Nei Futuro Bitencourt, Cameroon has the same cultural characteristics as Brazil, an asset in the sense that the potential for agricultural diversification are many.

The South America giant has managed to develop its agriculture through the implementation of numerous projects promoting a priority consumption of local products.

According to Brazilian experts, the development of agriculture should be done in combination with several vectors, including the pooling of efforts to access to bank credits, the development of infrastructure and structures to ensure at the same time flow to the consumption centres, and also the local transformation.

This combination of efforts promotes "an effective growth" at a time where Cameroon counts on becoming an emerging economic by the year 2035, which requires strong and sustained growth for several years.

"Our country has no means of its independence and its sovereignty, through the fault of its own sons and daughters. Just as the transitional authorities do not have the means of to vision and their policy", she said: "the results of our years of independence do us no honour".
