Since November 19, 2014, Daewoo International Corporation, Korean leader of the trading international has decided to close down its office in Cameroon.
This company has been under the control of the producer of steel Posco since September 2010. This move was revealed via a legal announcement made public on 19th January, 2015.
Daewoo, a company of international trade, investment and resources development, communicated this move without specifying the reasons for the closure of this office which is one of its five branches in Africa.
In addition to its office in Yaounde, the Cameroonian capital, Daewoo International is also present in South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya and Ethiopia.
More generally, the Seoul-based Korean firm has a vast network of 112 offices in 58 countries around the world, a network which is most visibly in Cameroon.
