Dangote Cameroon Cement expected in July

The first cement bags of Dangote Cement Company Cameroon will be marketed in Cameroon in July. This announcement was made by the Dangote group of companies with headquarters in Nigeria.

According to the company’s authorities, some 85 percent work in terms of mechanics and more than 75 percent on electricity has been completed.

They are affirmative that the rest percentage will be completed by July.

This will be the second dateline declared by the company after they failed to hit the market with their product on May 2014 as earlier declared.

According to the CEO of Dangote Cement Cameroon (DCC) Baba Abdullahi , " Dangote Cement prices are very competitive " compared to current prices, FCFA 4600 50 kg bag of French Lafarge and FCFA 4400 francs per Moroccan group CIMAT.

Additional supply which should significantly reduce the demand for cement, when the Cameroon incurred certain development projects.

Dangote Cement Cameroon with a net investment of FCFA 54 billion has a production capacity of one million tons of cement per year; production is expected to rise to 1.5 million tonnes per year from 2016.

The company is expected to recruit about 240 persons of which at least 220 will be Cameroonians.
