Douala Development Fair to Start Soon

The 5th Douala International Development Fair (DIDF) will be take place at the Deido Dr. Joel Ekindi Complex from March 28 to April 13, 2014.

A preparatory meeting towards the event held at the event's ground on Tuesday, March 11, 2014. Placed under the theme "Developing is consuming and producing", the objective of the fair is to encourage the transfer of skills as well as develop North-South partnerships.

It will feature technology exhibitions besides training, research and development opportunities in the bank and finance, textile, wood, production, and education sector, among many others. Exhibitors and other participants to the fair will come from Cameroon, Africa and other countries of the world. Debate conferences will be held on various themes.

Innovations due for this year include the introduction of arts and culture which are also necessary in economic development. Technical Adviser N°1 at the Ministry of Trade, Fotso Felix, was satisfied will the level of readiness of the organization, noting that exhibition stands and other facilities are ready unless for some minor aspects. DIDF is a private initiative promoted by Hon. Jacques Jean Ekindi with financial sponsorship from the government of Cameroon. About 140 companies were present at last year's fair.
