Companies holding market shares in the distribution of oil products in Cameroon have made a breakthrough in fuel redistribution, significantly improving access by 30 %.

A few years ago, multinational firms were controlling the entire industry to the detriment of local businesses. Less than 15 years after the deregulation of the sector, a dozen national businesses, the majority of which are members of the Grouping of Oil Professionals (GPP) was created.

The most important of these national companies is the Tradex firm, a subsidiary of the National Oil Company (SNH) which, with a network of about 40 gas stations across Cameroon claims 16.5% of the total market shares.

A distribution network extends to Chad and the Central Africa Republic yielding a turnover of over FCFA 192 billion, representing a 26% increase of the net result, compared to last year.
