The Ambassador of Germany, Klaus-Ludwig Keferstein is set to launch the activities of Autohaus, representing local German brand in the country.
This ambitious project was initiated by a Cameroonian living in Germany. Patrick Kouam, Managing Director of Autohaus, in his desire to make 'Volkswagen', which means car of the people, a major player in the market of the automobile in Cameroon, is surrounded by a strong team of experts from Germany and Cameroon. The launch will take place on April 28 in Douala.
The dealer aims to make every Cameroonian, owner of a car that will cease to be a luxury tool. Autohaus intends to market in Cameroon, some of the 12 brands that are the pride of the Group Volkswagen, Audi, Skoda, Seat, Scania, Volkswagen and in a lesser degree, Bentley, Porsche, Bugatti and Lamborghini.
Regarding the service after sale (monitoring and maintenance of these vehicles), the market of spare parts will be provided by annual imports estimated at 50 million Euros (32 billion F.Cfa).
With Patrick Kouam draft, the German mark will be among the leaders on the market, with more than 10% of the units by 2020. Autohaus will offer premium quality to its clients (financial: 30% of profitability of capital; Staff; more than 90% employee satisfaction; Quality: No.1 the repair of vehicles).
The ultramodern Center of Yaoundé, respecting the corporate Identity and other Volkswagen standards, will help the German to quickly win the field. This will be one of the earliest representations in automotive Germanic producer and the first in sub-Saharan Africa.
Moreover, thanks to its management focused on quality and costs, Volkswagen S.A. headquartered in Wolfsburg in Germany, intends to be the largest car manufacturer in the world from 2018 with sales exceeding 10 million vehicles per year.
