The Ambassadors’ Hall of the Ministry of External Relations was the venue where the Minister Delegate in the Ministry of External Relations in charge of Relations with the Commonwealth, Dr Joseph Dion Ngute and the visiting delegation of Germano-Africa Economic Association (Afrika Verein) held discussions yesterday July 12, 2016, in Yaounde.
The delegation accompanied to the Ministry of External Relations (MINREX) by the newly designated German Ambassador to Cameroon, Hans-Dieter Stell, is in Cameroon to explore investment opportunities.
According to the leader of the delegation, Detlev Woermann, Cameroon and the Federal Republic of Germany enjoy famed relations which need to be extended. “We are here as the Africa association which groups a very large number of companies and interest.
Each member of the delegation has his own area of interest be it in IT, specialised construction machinery, hydrocarbons, agriculture etc”, he stated. He added that Cameroon provides conducive environment for investment.
“Cameroon is a peaceful country with competent people and enormous natural resources and potentials”, Woermann told Cameroon Tribune. For about one week, the delegation will explore investment prospects in Yaounde, Douala and in the South West Region.
