Govt to float shares worth 5 billion Cfa francs

The Public Treasury has launched an issuance of Treasury bills amounting to 5 billion Cfa francs, for a duration of 13 weeks maturity, in the market of Government securities by BEAC.

Subscriptions can be made through 13 banks approved by CEMAC zone to the Ministry of finance. In total, government has floated 100 billion Cfa francs on the market of BEAC throughout the year 2014.

At the same time, Cameroon issued since November 24, 2014, Treasury bonds for a total amount of 150 billion Cfa francs, on the Douala Stock Exchange (DSX), the Securities Exchange in the country. This bond subscriptions will however end December 23, 2014.
