Indian-Cmr Ties: Fastest growing economic partnership

Less than a month after presenting his Letters of Credence to the Cameroon Minister of External Relations on 23 July 2014 in Yaounde, the new Indian High Commissioner to Cameroon, has been upbeat about the impetus he intends to inject into diplomatic ties between both countries.

To High Commissioner A.R. Ghanashyam, the existence of over 21 official languages in India, religious coexistence, scarce natural resources for over 1.2 billion people, are some of the similarities that his country shares with Cameroon which have led to the development of certain entrepreneurship skills.

In an exclusive interview with Cameroon Tribune, the High Commissioner highlights some of the key areas of exchanges with Cameroon, the plans of new Indian Prime Minister, Narenda modi and concerns about the wellbeing of women in India, among others.
