The construction of the multi-function terminal of the future deep Sea port in Limbe, in the southwest region of Cameroon, will cost 105.9 billion Cfa francs, revealed the Board of support of partnerships (CARPA) contracts, as he indicated that the work is about "starting".

These works will be jointly funded by the State of Cameroon (30%) and 70% by the consortium Camerouno-Korean Limbe Port Industrial Development Corporation (LIPID), which has contracted with the Cameroonian Government PPP (public-private partnership) for 'financing, construction, operation and maintenance of a multi-function' terminal at the port in Limbe, announced the Cameroonian Prime Minister, Philémon Yang.

The multi-function Terminal of the future Limbe deep water port, which will be built on the BOT (Built Operate Transfer) model, will run for a period of 27 years by the consortium Camerouno-Korean LIPID, before its surrender to the State of Cameroon.

According to Cameroonian Minister of transport, Robert Nkili, this port infrastructure integrates into the construction of a cement plant project in the southwest region, by the joint venture Camerouno-Korean company Afko.

But, in addition to imports of raw materials in the production of cement for Afko, or even other already existing cement or construction on Cameroonian territory, the future of Limbe deep water port still should also allow to export the products of food Department of the Mungo companies (in the region of the coast) and the southwest region.
