MTN gets ISO certification for network and customer relations

MTN Cameroon, leader in the telecommunication sector in Cameroon announced that following a rigorous assessment, its Network Group, and Customer Services was recently certified ISO 9001:2008 by SGS (Société Générale de Surveillance).

The network's Quality Management was audited on the basis of these key principles: Customer Focus, Leadership, Involvement of People, Process Approach, Systems Approach, Continual Improvement, Factual Approach to decision-making and Mutual Beneficial Supplier Relations.

The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2008 provides a Quality Management framework to manage businesses while ensuring a philosophy of continual improvement in all aspects of the network.

Externally assessed on an ongoing basis to ensure that these business practices are maintained, it also involves Top Management in the improvement of the Quality Management System and aids the organization to become customer-focused.
