Minister of commerce defends 2015 budget

The ministry of finance has allocated 6,174 billion F for the budgetary envelope for 2015 for the benefit of the Ministry of Commerce with 4,574 billion for operation and F 1.6 billion for investment.

This Draft budget programme for the sector was defended on Tuesday before the Commission of finance and Budget of the National Assembly by Commerce Minister Luc Magloire Mbarga Atangana.

During this session, three programs were pointed out; the export development program, the program of internal market regulation and the governance program and institutional support. With regard to the development of exports, the sector anticipate constructing two border markets at Doumo in Mayo-Louti and Okoroba in Manyu respectively.

The ministry plans to participate in economic operators at the international fair of Lagos or even host the 6th edition of the cross-border fair of CEMAC. The ministry also intends to be present at the universal exhibition in Milan. This will take place the same time they will be organizing the first economic and Cameroonian trade fair in Moscow, Russia.

With regard to the regulation of the internal market, the sector envisage the construction of 30 periodic markets; the finalisation of the process of normalization of the traditional instruments of measurement; the permanent deployment of brigades of control throughout the territory, to ensure that the regulations for commercial activity; support for the Organization of events promote the consumption of local products. Governance and institutional support program are underway to guarantee good performance.
