In 2015, Nexttel was the best ISP (Internet Service Provider) in Cameroon, this was proven by the award they won from the Ascom Prize on Friday, April 22, 2016 in Douala. This award, awards companies by excellence in communication.
This award is not a surprise, considering the fact that it was the first 3G network to come in the country after many internet users were still suffering with the 2G/EDGE network. Not only the connection speed of Nexttel was satisfactory, the mobile operator also proved to be all over Cameroon providing the same 3G speed, no matter your location.
This helped many remote users to get themselves online with a good speed right in their villages, something that was not possible with MTN Cameroon and Orange Cameroon.
Although Nexttel has outstanding speed, her internet plans are still a problem to consumers who claim that they need unlimited data plans, and cheaper rates.
