According to the National Cocoa and Coffee Board (ONCC) for the month of June 2014, Cameroonian cocoa exports reached 4,526 tonnes which is about 50% increase relative to the 2,305 tonnes recorded in June 2013.

The same source notes that these exports were made by 11 exporters, but three in particular accounted for 60% of the exports. At the top of the list is Producam, which exported 1,003 tonnes of cocoa in June.

Next in line are the Olam group with 983 tonnes and Telcar Cocoa, Cargill’s Cameroonian trading company, which exported 853 tonnes also in June.

Overall, the ONCC statistics reveal that Cameroon has already exported 152,941 tonnes of cocoa since the current season began on August 1, 2013. This suggests a 25% decline compared to the 203,220 tonnes exported over the same period the previous cocoa season.
