The jury of Africa Telecom People (ATP), competition that rewards the best operators and managers in the telecommunications sector of in Africa, has appointed the Cameroonian Elisabeth Medou Badang, CEO of Orange Cameroon, as best telecoms manager in Africa in 2014.
Elisabeth Medou Badang officially took her functions at the head of the Cameroon subsidiary of France Telecom on December 2, 2013, after having been, for three years, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to Orange Botswana.
In addition to the DG of Orange Cameroon, the jury of the ATP 2014 also has a choice on the young Cameroonians Arthur Zang, the inventor of the cardiopad, which has been praised as "best initiative development.
None of the telecommunications companies of Cameroon was distinguished by the ATP Awards 2014. In Central Africa, the prize for the best telecom operator was awarded to Tigo Chad, who received this year licences to operate the 3 and 4G in this country.
