Petroliam National Bhd (Petronas) is looking to upgrade it portfolio and divest assets if needed.
"We continue to look at opportunity with value growth. We may divest if it has no value," Petronas upstream international vice president Sharbini Suhaili said at a briefing.
He added that the company would focus a bit more on oil as it was a "very gassy" company with 65%-70% gas of its total porttfolio at the moment.
He said Petronas was looking to divest its assets in Mauritania and Cameroon.
Additionally, he said Petronas would maintain its production growth of 1%-2% next year. It is currently producing about 2.2 million of barrels of oil equivalent a day. its international ventures portfolio produce 550,000 boe per day.
