A new industry known as the Plastic pavement industry has been introduced in Cameroon.
The initiative was introduced to Cameroon by an expert and technical engineer called Kamsouloum Pierre patronized by the Roger Mila Foundation called Coeur D’afrique.
The industry situated at voirie municipal in Yaounde is specialized at transforming plastic waste mixed with sand to produce solid pave slaps.
Over 20 Cameroonian youths are currently acquiring the training on how to manufacture pavestones with the use of plastic wastes.
The initiative which is out to train 2,500 youths nationwide came as an inspiration from the following three African countries: Nigeria, Sierra Leone and Madagascar.
The French Ambassador to Cameroon Christine Robichon visited the industry yesterday 6th August 2015.
She was marveled at what she saw and could not help acclaiming the efforts of initiators and trainees saying the project would help multiply employment for Cameroonian youths.
One of the foundation’s objectives is to train 2, 500 youths across the National territory with fifty from each Municipality, targeting mostly underprivileged youths and street children.
