Those within and without Cameroon are attracting so many people to their stands at Promote.

The United States of America (USA) is actively present at Promote 2014 with as varied products as the firms. There are 28 booths at the Promote village that belong to American firms representing 12 companies from Illinois, a company from Ohio and the others, US companies based in Cameroon.

There is a real estate company in the construction industry that could make an impact in the construction sector in the country because they are bringing in brand new technology from America into the country’s construction sector.

They are setting up a factory in Douala to produce dry walls which can allow for a house to be constructed in a month and at what exhibitors say reduced cost than what happens here. “I think their presence in this market is going to completely change the entire construction landscape in the country,” a visitor to the stand, Serge Etoundi told Cameroon Tribune.

There are also companies in the engineering sector, construction and dredging equipment that can service port infrastructure in the country. The famous Microsoft Company is stealing the show at the exhibition village with diverse offers for visitors.

Companies involved in the health and other business development sectors are also present, striving each in its sector to explain to as many visitors as possible what it is doing with the hope of winning clientele.

There is also the American Chamber of Commerce and the US-Cameroon Chamber of Commerce; all business-facilitation services that help to bring more companies to take advantage of US technology and market place.

Besides the company stands, the American embassy in Cameroon has a double booth showcasing what America has been doing in Cameroon through the embassy’s public diplomacy. There are literary services and the health services which constitute one of the biggest presence of America in Cameroon, the Centre for Disease Control that has opened up an office in Cameroon as well as the Peace Corps that needs no introduction again.
