Cameroon's foremost brewery, Societe Anonyme des Brasseries Du Cameroun (SABC) has honoured its loyal consumers in the Southwest Region with prizes, cash and other awards.
SABC’s fervent clients were honoured in Kumba at the end of a three-day event organised by the company christened "Xmas For ALL."
The three-day event that set the pace for the end of year festivities, staged on the premises of the Southwest Farmers' Cooperative Union (SOWEFCU) from December 10 to 13, 2015, brought together thousands of loyal customers of the company for social interaction and competition.
The crowd pulling event that saw circa FCFA 6 million dished out to winners in different competitions was equally a melting point for culture, as several ethnic groups during the three days portrayed their rich cultural heritage, thanks to SABC.
According to SABC'S animation Supervisor for Kumba, Mamfe, Ekontiti and Ekok, Jackson Ngwani Ngala, the Christmas party was a platform for the company to share with the people who consume its products.
Ngala said SABC was simply telling the people that their loyalty remains one of the key pillars of its survival.
To him, it was a win-win celebration, given the company's drive in employing thousands of Cameroonians without discrimination.
The three-day SABC- powered Christmas party saw different social and cultural groups that competed in disciplines such as Dancing, Singing, Tug of War, Football, Quiz, Fashion parade and Comedy.
Cash prizes at the event spiced with SABC products ranged from FCFA 35,000 to FCFA 500,000 depending on the discipline.
From bike riders, taxi men, choral groups, schools and other bodies that answered present, SABC officials maintained that the fanfare and communion at the event speak volumes of a common identity for all Cameroonians.
They insisted that Les Brasseries du Cameroun, as a company, holds the virtue of no discrimination, the reason why the invitation to the event was open to all and sundry.
Speaking at the closing ceremony of the ' Xmas For All party' on Sunday, December 13, 2015, the Southwest Regional Director of Les Brasseries du Cameroun, Isaac Gustav Zoa, said it was an opportunity for SABC to wish a merry Christmas to its customers.
Zoa said the event succeeded in giving customers of Brasseries 'fine Moments' of enjoyment.
He said the recreational facilities at the centre of the event added impetus to the value the company has for its customers.
The Secretary General at the Kumba City Council, Henry Shey, averred that it was a rare moment of communion between the company and its clientele, given that, the party was in its maiden edition in Kumba.
Shey saluted the spirit of Les Brasseries in terms of Job creation and assured the company of the safety of the environment for more investments.
The Kumba City Council Scribe said Kumba is among the safest business environment in the country thanks to government efforts.
The closing ceremony was presided at by the Second Assistant Senior Divisional Officer for Meme.
