SIC Cacaos opens tender for cocoa grinding equipment

Sic Cacaos, a subsidiary of the Swiss Barry Callebaut, which dominates the market for the processing of cocoa in Cameroon, published on December 23, 2014 made a call for tenders for cocoa grinding equipment.

"All heavy and light handling (crane and trolley) as well as all consumables and tooling equipment shall be provided by the buyer," noted Sic cocoas.

All interested have until January 7, 2015 to send their offers to the general direction of this food company in Douala, the Cameroonian economic capital.

This sale of equipment to Sic Cacaos is certainly in relation to new investment started in the year 2014 by this disposer, in order to increase its processing capacity to 50,000 tonnes "in the near future", announced the CICC at the opening of the current cocoa campaign.

As a reminder, during the last cocoa campaign, Sic Cacaos processed most of the 32, 803 tonnes of cocoa ground in the country, increasing at the same time its performance of 6.7% from the previous year, said the CICC in its report of the cocoa 2013-2014 campaign.
