Sinopec to produce bitumen and lubricants in Cameroon

International Petroleum Service Corporation Cameroon, abbreviated as Sinopec Service Cameroon LTD is already present in exploration and development of oil and gas products in Cameroon, through Addax Petroleum. Sinopec, the largest petro-gas group in China has been established since October 2, 2014.

This new entity, according to the legal announcement recently made public, has considerably enlarged the scope of Sinopec in the country.

Indeed, apart from the mining of oil and gas, Sinopec Service Cameroon Ltd. plans to venture into some or all of the following activities: trading of petroleum products, bitumen production, quality control on petroleum products, the production and marketing of lubricants, or refining of petroleum, which Sinopec is the first in Asia and the third world.

Led by Huang Xialong, the new subsidiary of the Chinese petro-gas group, which boasts an overall increase of 40% on its oil production in Cameroon and has its headquarters in Douala, the economic capital of the country.
