Startimes Ltd to rehabilitate CRTV for 110 billion FCfa

Government has entrusted 110 billion Cfa Francs to the company Star Software Technology Co. Ltd (Startimes Ltd), for the technical rehabilitation of the Cameroon Radio and Television (CRTV), the juggernaut public broadcasting in the country.

The Minister of Procurement, Abba Ali stated this in a statement issued on November 21, 2014. According to the analysis of the Cameroonian Ministry of Public Procurement, the market was desired by Startimes’ Chinese compatriot Huawei, Technologies whose offer was considered.

Specializing in digital TV solutions, Startimes Ltd. has featured in the top 20 of the most promising Chinese private enterprises in 2012 with turnover at 49.8% over the 2008-2010 periods while its profits increased by 42.3% over the same period.
