The Cameroonian consulting firm Prescriptor has just announced in an official communiqué that “due to circumstances at various levels, and with the concern to deliver the best performance, the First Edition of the Pan-African Project Management Conference, scheduled from 2 to 4 November 2016, is postponed to 24 to 26 May 2017 at the Palais des Congrès Yaoundé”, the Cameroonian capital.

Organised around the theme “accelerating economic transformation in Africa through the management of projects”, this conference, according to Babissakana, the CEO of Prescriptor, aims “to progressively bridge, but at an accelerated pace, the technological lag of Africa in management of projects, in line with the successful implementation of the African Union's Agenda 2063 conceived to achieve the vision of Pan-Africanism and African Renaissance”.

Specifically, we learn, during this gathering, “the best technologies of project management, recognised internationally, will be the subject of several discussions, with a view to their acquisition and mastering by interested parties on the African continent”.

Thanks to this conference, which “aims to become a model of transfer and acquisition of technologies in Africa by 2020", its organisers hope to bridge the technological gap observed in project management in Africa.
