In an advertisement published in the government newspaper July 21, 2014, the Trading and export of petroleum products Company (Tradex), a subsidiary of the National Hydrocarbons Corporation (SNH), announced they have created "a thousand jobs" in 8 years, which corresponds to its seniority on the market for distribution of petroleum products in Cameroon.

With 50 pump stations in Cameroon and more than 20 others in the Central African Republic and Chad, Tradex quickly became the armed wing of the national distribution of petroleum products at the pump, not only in Cameroon but also in the CEMAC region.

A position that the company initially confined to trading and maritime bunker was reinforced in April 2013, by launching in the distribution of domestic gas.

In 2013, the company announced an increase in its turnover by 26% compared to 2012 and an upward trend (31%) of its net income.

According to experts of the Cameroonian oil industry, Tradex is the principal actor of increased market share in the domestic distribution of petroleum products in Cameroon, shares that went from "5 to 20% in a few years," according to the DG Total Cameroon, the current market leader.
