Many days after the deadline for mobile subscribers to identify themselves, no unidentified subscriber has been suspended.

We recall that on a working visit to Douala on June 28, 2016, the Minister of Posts and Telecommunications issued a final warning to unidentified subscribers.

This is a citizen’s duty to be identified. It happens everywhere, why should it be different in Cameroon? I therefore reiterate that beyond June 30, 2016, any unidentified mobile phone user will be systematically turned off from the network She said.

But surprisingly, today is already 3 days away fro the deadline and unidentified subscribers are still on the networks. Something that wonders many Cameroonians who believe this was a scam to make some money.

Indeed in some identification points, some people had to pay FCFA 200 or FCFA 300 to get identified.
