The attestations are exhibits of a three months training course in a number of income generating activities including fish smoking, production of natural juices amongst others.
The program has been introduced to foster the empowerment of refugee women through income generating activities which will facilitate the socio-economic reinsertion of these displaced persons living in Cameroon.
The UNHCR Representative to Cameroon Khassim Diagne during the attestation award ceremony said it was time for these families to become financially autonomous.
The trainees who are refugees from Chad, DR Congo and Central African Republic all expressed gratitude to the UNHCR and its partners for being very attentive to their plight.
The attestation award ceremony ended with a visit of the officials to some stands where basic commodities produced after the training were exhibited.
Officials appreciated the level of commitment of the ladies and encouraged them to keep up the spirit
