  These shortages are a thing the central African States, as well as the West African States of the Franc zone have refused to address. The French Treasury is contracted to print the CFA francs. It is also contracted to print the Euro. The Treasury make no excuses for the CFA shortages, and points out in no uncertain terms that its number one priority is making sure that there is adequate EUro in circulation, and not the CFA. I do not know why our governments keep looking to France to solve our problems. When have you heard of Nigeria, Ghana or Kenya crying for shortage of money in circulation? Grow up and stop being French lackeys!
