25-year-old man arrested for breaking into vehicle in Yaounde

25-year-old Alain Djesse Ngono, specialized in the robbery of vehicles, was detained March 14 at the 2nd District police station in Yaoundé.

He was apprehended while trying to steal a handbag in a vehicle in the Mokolo market, at a place called "carrefour Lissou".

H. Ving found the attitude of Alain Djesse Ngono who was lurking around a parked car suspicious, those around alerted the elements of the second district police station.

The police officers also decided to monitor him from a distance, without disrupting his strategy. Alain Djesse Ngono finally implemented his plan, forcing the door open with a screwdriver.

He was arrested just when he was about taking the bag from the vehicle. As stated by Commissioner Marcel B. Octavian Ndi, the alleged robber was neither alone nor operating for the first time. He thus noted that, he is currently under investigation to dismantle all such band usually prevailing in the Mokolo market area and its surroundings.
