Angry mob kill gang leader in Mayo-Giulia

A notorious gang leader popularly known as Cisse has been threatening the security of the people of Mayo-Giulia Department in the Northern region, Commissioner of public safety reports.

According to information collected from communication department of the General delegation of national security in Yaounde, his last crime dates back to March 24, 2015 at 8 p.m. in the Ourokessoum district.

He is alleged to be connected to the case of the motorcycle driver, Agha Aboubakar, who had transported Cisse and two other individuals. On their way, he was stabbed by his passengers (Cisse and members) and robbed of his motorbike.

According to our source, the bike rider was able to vividly describe them to his rescuers leading to the arrest of Cisse by the crowd. They lynched him prior to alerting the police who quickly came to the scene to arrest the criminal from the grips of the angry people.

Unfortunately, Cisse deid before the police could conduct their examinations. Despite the death of the alleged gang leader, the police are still searching for other members of his gang.
