Armed Robbers Attack Bar Tenders

Men of the 7th District Public Security Police Station at Bepanda, Douala have arrested one of two armed robbery suspects who attacked two bar owners recently. The attack took place at 2.00 am at Texaco Omnisport in Douala.

The two victims, Serge Faustine Nwanyi A. Betchem and Martial Ngouannyo Ngouanfong, were about closing their bars when they were attacked by the two heavily armed individuals. Pointing their guns, the men of the underworld made away with FCFA 105.000 and three mobile phones.

Informed, the Commissioner of 7th District Public Security Police Station at Bepanda, Senior Superintendent of Police Jean Marie Ngono, organised a rapid manhunt. One of the bandits, C. Momo, 30, a former inmate of the Douala New Bell Prison, was caught with an automatic Revolver while his accomplice vamoosed. With his revolver, Cedric Momo was taken to that Police Station for further questioning.
