Armed robbers raid, steal 400 000 FCfa from St Jacques parish

Three armed thugs made away with 400 000 FCfa from the Saint Jacques parish, Logbaba. Three armed men, not yet identified, operated rectory of the Saint Jacques parish of Logbaba in Douala, on 29 August 2014.

Armed with two guns and a knife, the assailants held in respect the priest who was there and made away with the sum of 400,000 CFA francs, reserved for the payment of employees of the church.

According to various accounts, the gangsters arrived at the parish and one of them knocked on the door of the rectory and was received by the parish.

He made the priest understand that he came on behalf of his boss to give his contribution for the construction of the church. A few minutes later, two other unknown persons presented themselves and asked, "a spiritual assistance" from the parish priest.

Suddenly, they pointed a rifle on the forehead of the priest and require him to give them money after which they took to their heels.
