Five arrested in Ngaoundéré for siphoning fuel

Five individuals have been arrested in Ngaoundéré for siphoning fuel. This act was coordinated by the Prosecutor of the Republic, Hamadou Bouba.

The operation was conducted on the ground by the captain David Ndogge Kang, Commander of the company of gendarmerie in the city.

The incident took place at the passenger station of Ngaoundéré. The thugs were using sponges and seals to collect fuel from the tanks of SCDP. This happened between the passenger station and the filing of the vats of Cameroonian society of petroleum deposits (SCDP).

According to police sources, more than 20 bandits are part of this network but five were caught by the police. They included three civilians and two guards of a security company.

An investigation is underway to dismantle the vast network of this fuel smuggling thefts. According to police sources, last year seven individuals were placed under arrest for the same reason.
