Man kills wife with spear over FCFA 1000

A man killed his wife with a spear recently at Douang, Vele subdivision, Mayo-Danay division in the Far North region, Cameroon Tribune Reports.

According to testimonies collected by our source from Jacqueline Zivounda, co-wife of the deceased, Benguelle Assikafon, in his 60s, collected without authorization, a sum of FCFA 1000 meant for the children of the deceased, who perform some work for a villager.

The children, we learn, were demanding their due from their father who was rather becoming wild. The mother of the kids intervened to calm the dispute between the children and their father. Against all odds, the husband used a spear on his wife, who died on the spot.
