Nigerian arrested in Douala with gun, munitions

A patrol of the 8th District Public Security Station in Douala picked up 44-year-old Nigerian, Iguehom Churchill, with a plastic sack containing a locally-made gun.

The parcel also contained cartridges, a teargas canister, a dagger, roll of scotch, a pack of razor blades, a pistol carrier and a National Identity Card bearing the name Wafeu Gabriel.

The suspect, whose colleague vanished into thin air, was caught on October 13, 2015, at 2 am in the Newtown locality of Madagascar, Douala. Investigations are continuing into the matter at the Judicial Police in Douala.
