A 28 year old man from Kembong in the Manyu Division is presently in police custody in Kumba, South West Region.

According to police sources, Arrey Tambe Napoleon had been dismissed from the military corps due to indiscipline and according to commissioner of the police, Wilson Elong Njumenjikang, the suspect gained admission within the ranks of a notorious gang in Kumba.

Since then, he has become an impostor moving about in military uniform and harassing the population.

He also poses as one who is capable of negotiating admission into some higher schools of learning in Cameroon

His arrest came recently at the Paradise Baptist Church Fiango where he attempted to dupe the church pastor Uboh Rene.

He requested for deliverance claiming to be under the influence of some demonic spirits. His next demand was 40,000 frs from the pastor.

Tambe Napoleon returned few days after and thanked Pastor Uboh Rene for the miraculous works of God.

The thanks giving service was preceded with another request which the impostor had pre-planned.

This time he requested the youths in the church to pay a certain amount of money as fees for recruitment.

The Pastor later realised the Christian was not an ordinary one but a fraudster.

Pastor Uboh Rene alerted the police and Tambe Napoleon was apprehended after a long scuffle.
