After assaulting a woman Tuesday at Makepe, they were hunted and lynched. The remains of Sylvain T. and Moïse M. were deposited at the mortuary of the Laquintinie hospital. Aged 24 and 30 respectively, they suffered mob-justice in Bonamoussadi district Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Office of the Commissioner of the 12th district, they assaulted a lady earlier and ripped off her hand bag in Makepe. The cries of the victim alerted neighbours and passers-by. They began pursuing the robbers who were fleeing on foot. One of the thieves in possession of a firearm tried to deter the crowd by firing in the air, without success.

A veritable crowd was eventually formed behind the duo of criminals, a hunt that led the crowd to Bonamoussadi district where one of the criminals was caught. He was punched, slapped, beaten with clubs and stones. He died on the spot while prosecutors were still behind the other armed robber. Nearly 500 people, police sources said.

The bandit eventually climbed the fence of the Bonamoussadi hospital where he took refuge. Unfortunately, his pursuers stalk followed him within the institution. He received the same treatment as his comrade. The two bodies were abducted by elements of the Regional Directorate of the judicial police.
