Two men lose their lives over 100 F CFA

In full dispute, a young man stabbed his friend to death and was thereafter lynched to death by a crowd on Thursday in Douala.

Dickson Ngong, 20, and Hamadou Bayerou, 27 years old, two close friends, died the same day, Thursday, October 23, 2014. Their bodies were deposited in the mortuary of the New Bell district hospital. The two young men have died as a result of a 100 F coin in New Bell.

According to reports, the two men vied for the piece when Dickson Ngong fatally stabbed his friend at the level of the throat. Carried to the New Bell hospital, the victim gave up to his injury 20 minutes after admission to the emergency room. Dickson Ngong, was thereafter beaten to death, and his body was thrown into a drain not far away.

Witnesses revealed that a pedestrian dropped 100 F coin without realizing it. The two accomplices pounced on it, what triggered the dispute. After Hamadou Bayerou succeeded in picking the coin, fighting erupted between the two when Dickson Ngong pulled out a dagger and stabbed his friend.
